Our very own Sunny Dolat will be live on What Can Design Do’s Facebook page as part of a series of urgent conversations around social justice in design today (Friday 19th June—also known as Juneteenth) from 4–5pm EAT (3–4pm CET).

The presentation is part of a teaming up between What Design Can Do and Dezeen to present a programme on social justice in design. This Friday, the festival hosts conversations about power, privilege and change in the creative industries, during three live conversations as a part of Dezeen’s Virtual Design Festival.

Sunny will be featured alongside Anoushka Khandwala, unpacking how colonialism has shaped the way we teach, value and practice design, in the face of the growing, global Black Lives Matter movement. Read more about this in this elegant, reflective piece from Anoushka.
