#HackUrCulture: A Pan-African Open Call

Credipple (a South African startup connecting clients with reliable creative and tech freelance practitioners and services) are collaborating with the Goethe Institut in Johannesburg for a really cool project! They are looking for young African creatives, as well as cultural and tech practitioners across Sub-Saharan Africa. The project is excited to connect with folk who are interested in designing innovative solutions for African GLAM and affiliated institutions (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) engaging in the virtual space.

They will do this via a 3 week hackathon named "Hack Ur Culture" running from 24th September to 17th October! #HackUrCulture will create a platform for experimentation to explore possible digital solutions for African GLAM institutions.

We are excited to be one of the participating partners for #HackUrCulture, alongside other organizations: sister company HEVA Fund, as well as Book Dash, Wits Arts Museum, Iziko Museums, Wikimedia ZA, GALA, City of Joburg and the District Six Museum.

Applications are open now to creative and tech freelancers! Individuals and teams are encouraged to apply. Here is more information about the open call, including a list of #HackUrCulture's exciting prizes! Best wishes with your applications!
