Jim Chuchu Chosen For The Apollo Art Magazine 40 Under 40 Africa List!
The visual arts publication Apollo Magazine was founded in 1925, and has continued to be one of the sector’s most respected media entities. Its annual 40 under 40 lists, launched in 2014, feature what they describe as “the most talented and inspiring young people driving the art world forward today” and what others have described as “young leaders and future stars of the arts world”, and select 10 each of artists, thinkers, business people and patrons/advocates from multiple regions around the world.
This year, our very own Jim Chuchu was one of 10 African artists chosen for this incredible honour, and Apollo Magazine describe his wide, eclectic spectrum of practice and areas of work, interest and curiosity: from video, photography and film; his exhibitions, installations and acquisitions by museums and galleries; and his institutional building work with our sister-company HEVA, as well as with international art collaboratory IIP. Read more about that on their post here!
We’re beyond proud of our Jim for this incredible achievement, and are so honoured to continue to be part of his journey!
